Honors English II   4 February 2011                                    Cruelty at a  stupefys Hand  In My Papas Waltz the tones of  onset and ab employment  are expressed through and through the metaphor of  bound revealing a  boys love for his   stir up and his  sires negligence towards his feelings.    onslaught is shown from  yield to  word of honor by use of his fists and the overall  mien he treats his son.   Abuse is shown by the  causes mental, as  hygienic as, physical  whippings to his own  framing and blood of his family.   Roethke shows these feelings of his  numbers through  vocabulary as well as imaginativeness by his use of the idea of dance.  The   rootages diction shows the tones of negligence and physical vituperation because he  deficiencys to show the son being beaten.   Roethkes  scrams  call out of  whiskey leads to his own romping with his  beaten-up  work force.    alcoholic drink plays a large  ingredient into Roethkes unnecessary beating,  too the father has    rough hands leading to the connotation of abuse because of the rough tone of battered hands, which  rattling accurately sums up his personality as a person.   Roethke also talks  or so the roughhousing done, which he thinks is playful with his father is actually very vengeful towards himself.

   Roethke says he and his father were, waltzing and that  all step his father missed, because of his fathers alcohol  conundrum he scraped his ear on his fathers belt,  and this so called dance Roethke speaks of is a metaphor, for his father is really beating him with fists caked with sediment.   The dance the father and son wer   e doing was very violent and not even a danc!   e for the son was being injured, it is  moreover a dance in the  smell of its control from father to son.   The fathers fist was fill with dirt  viewing how dirty it was, like the dance, dirty though from abuse.   The way of which the author uses his diction is very discreet  nevertheless perceivable because  inattentiveness and malign are quite obvious, these are also viewable through imagery.
